An Innovative Learning Week (ILW) event: The internet provides new ways to discover research, promote yourself as a researcher and collaborate on projects. More and more researchers are reading and writing blogs as part of their studies. In this session, we will cover the basics of blogging, how to use blogs as resources and why you should blog about your own research. We will also discuss the role of the internet in current research including its pros and cons, the emergence of 'open science' and public peer review.
