Dr Caroline Watt is co-author of a forthcoming Trends In Cognitive Sciences article suggesting that near-death experiences are simply the manifestation of normal brain function gone awry. The paper is discussed in this week's Scientific American, and by Dr Watt in an interview for BBC Radio 4's "PM" programme.
