The Lothian Birth Cohort Studies
The Lothian Birth Cohort Studies (Scottish Mental Survey follow-up studies). The Edinburgh-based follow-up studies of the Scottish Mental Surveys of 1932 and 1947.
Reconstructing a Scottish School of Educational Research 1925-1950
An overview of the ESRC funded project (Reconstructing a Scottish School of Educational Research) that investigates why Scotland was such an international force in research in intelligence and education in that period.
Want to study for a PhD or Postdoctoral Fellowship?
Inquiries from prospective PhD students are welcome. The first year of the postgraduate study would usually be the MSc in the Psychology of Individual Differences, with the next three years being research toward the PhD. I have mentored several Postdoctoral Fellowships, including those in schemes supported by MRC, Wellcome, and RCUK. If you are considering postdoctoral work in any of my research areas, especially cognitive ageing or cognitive epidemiology, please get in touch.
Differential Psychology at Edinburgh
At the University of Edinburgh we have a large group of tenured academics and research fellows researching and teaching on the psychology of individual differences.
