Experiment Booths
Appleton Tower - Perception Laboratory
- Four sound-deadened booths for running perceptual and psycholinguistics experiments. Each booth has a PC with E-Prime software installed and a serial response box fitted. The booths can also be used for other computer based experiments, or simply pen and paper responses to audio stimuli.
- Available for use by: All PPLS staff and postgraduates. PPLS undergraduates as part of coursework or honours dissertation.

Admirals Lab - Staff (Psychology Building)
- 8 cubicles equipped for computer-based experimental work. Software includes SPSS and E-Prime, as well as usual Office software including Excel and PowerPoint.

Admirals Lab - Students (Psychology Building)
- 8 cubicles equipped for computer-based experimental work. Software includes SPSS and E-Prime, as well as usual Office software including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Available for use by: research and undergraduate (3rd and 4th year) students.

Y2 Lab (Psychology Building)
- 10 cubicles equipped for computer-based experimental work. These are primarily for methodology and statistics teaching practicals for 2nd-year undergraduates. Software includes SPSS and E-Prime, as well as usual office software including Excel and PowerPoint. The 2nd year programme makes use of a centrally hosted Wiki service (Confluence), used to support both project work and to help monitor progress and group work. Turnitin plagiarism detection software is also used. Online survey tools are also used (e.g. UCCASS, LimeSurvey and BOS).
