PPLS Visiting Postgraduate Students
Visitor Categories & Application Procedures
All potential visitors are required to answer the following questions in order to identity the most appropriate visitor category they may be registered under:
- What is the duration of your intended visit to the University of Edinburgh?
- What is your purpose for visiting? Are you visiting an academic member of staff or visiting for research training?
- Have you been in touch with an academic member of staff in support of your application to visit?
These questions should be answered by email to the PPLS Postgraduate Office. On receipt of the answers the PG Office will respond with information regarding fees and the application process.
Visa Information
International student visitors should be aware that they will require a visa to enter the UK. It is very important that all visitors to the University of Edinburgh have the correct visa as failure to do so may have implications for their future travels to the UK. Further information and advice on visas is available from the University of Edinburgh International Office.
Applicants should note that it can take some time to process visa applications so therefore should apply early.
